Get Free IL Shorts

If you’re new to my life – 1. Hey, how’s it going? Nice to meet you. 2. IL is short for Isabella Louis, you know, that nifty little clothing line I’m working on.  Anyway… you have a pretty awesome chance to win the shorts in the above photo in whatever size you’d like!

Why, you ask? Because I fell in love with the Boston based blog Notes on Lifestyle by Georgina and I had to figure out a way to collab with her. So, she’s hosting this fancy little month-long giveaway and is giving you a million chances to enter. Well, that may be a little over exaggerated but you get the point.

Check it out and enter!

Instagram & Interviews

Let’s recap my weekend.

I spent Friday night… hmm, I don’t remember. It was uneventful though, I think I caught up on the Daria episodes I had stored on my DVR. Did you know MTV was playing them every morning last week. I think they’re doing it again this week but only at 8:30am or something like that. Then I spent Saturday editing a story I wrote. The short story was previously published (page 127) and I figured I’d get back to working on the novel it was inspired by.

Then Sunday, this awesome couple behind the new Boston company Angela & Roi stopped by for an interview on The Boston Bazaar.

They gave me a bag. And I love it!

Now you have to buy it and you definitely have to read the article HERE!

I completely gave myself a makeover this morning to submit for a film… you know, to look normal and all. I honestly don’t even recognize myself.

Anywho… gotta go finish up these Etsy orders. So bye.

Listen!

I’m being a little demanding today. Sorry, can’t help it. I had jury duty so I’m in that – I totally have your life in the palm of my hands - kind of mood. But my absolute favorite composer is Ryuichi Sakamoto… We’ve been over this once before. Back in the day. And I need you to turn the lights down, maybe light a candle and close your eyes for a second while listening to this…

Let yourself cry… I know!

Play it again. I’ll wait. And add Ryuichi Sakamoto to your pandora. It will change your life. Forever.

Oh and made a 15 minute dress. Might do a DIY on that because I’m still shocked.

Going All American

Hey, What’s up… can you do me a solid and make sure you’re registered to vote by August 17th please and thanks.

I’m not going to sit here and tell you who to vote for… totally your decision and be glad you have the right to make it. So to celebrate that right make sure you’re set and ready to go… register.

Why am I bringing this up, you ask? Well, my dear lad and/or lass, I am rolling out an Isabella Louis All American collection this August and I’ve already starting leaking (and selling woops) previews.

Right now I’m super amped about the Olympics so I’m all TEAM USA and offering free shipping during the Olympics and some pretty rad prices… just saying.

But the purpose behind the All American collection is to really get people in the spirit, THE MOOD…and excited about voting. This election is going to be intense and everyone (that’s old enough) needs to pick a side… and not just the side of their parents, or friends, or clergymen (lol), but the one they believe in.

I’ve fallen in love with “Our Time” and I’m still working out the details but we’ll definitely be donating a portion of every All American sale to Our Time. Their efforts are inspiring.

So do it the American way – be heard…. and the Isabella Louis way – BE SEEN!

Bahm Bahm Bahm Bahm

Clearly I’m running out of innovative titles.

1. Last night I had the most random dream about actor Matthew Atkinson – he was about 6 foot 4 and had on a black leather jacket. I don’t know if you know but I’ve got a major thing for men in leather jackets… oh and I like em tall.  But anyway, he was also Swedish and we were walking around this mall, invading lunchtime privacy by joining people in the food court. We sat down with this one stranger family and they told us about their 8 year old’s ability to open any cash register…anywhere. So we had him do it at an unattended mall kiosk. And no, we did not steal – we decided to do a full on photo shoot next to the broken-into-cash register.  Then we danced around the corn fields of Pennsylvania – no, I’m not from Pennsylvania. Don’t know if they have cornfields but that’s what we were doing. This is what I get for watching Jane by Design and tweeting like a teen last night.

2. I’m in love with this BOSS hat. I made another last night and I might have to keep it. I’m not even a hat person but I feel attached.

3. Not to toot my own horn but my skin is looking great these days. Yesterday, I filled a huge bowl with ice and cold water and I submerged my face in it. Why, you ask? Eh, it was Tuesday. So right after that I used this “Blackberry Purifying Peel off Face Mask” and I swear my skin has NEVER felt so smooth.

Seriously… I highly recommend. Gather the girls (and guys if you will) grab some magazines, some yum yums, some nail polish and have a living room spa day. And it totally makes a hilarious little face once you peel it off. I think it says leave it on for 15 minutes or until it’s dry. I cooked, ate, watched TV and totally forgot about it so it was more like an hour and a half. I always leave it on for at least thirty anyway.

Teen Choice Awards – Flo Rida Isabella Louis Studded Vest

So, I’m currently stalking out the Teen Choice Awards because one of the stylists I know pulled a few things for Flo Rida.  Now that Flo has performed I can unglue my eyeballs from the TV screen. He’s wearing a studded and spiked (mini spikes) vest that I made on Wednesday. There were two pink patches on the front that I did not do but the vest looked great!
